The consequences of incorrect processing of instruments due to incorrect soaking times, dilutions and pre-cleansing can result in the potential for inadvertent cross contamination or corrosion that results in poor instrument performance due to a shortened life span.
Alongside our Bandaging Angels Clinical Club, we launched a survey to help us better understand the challenges you face and the factors that influence the processes you use. While we usually host these questions through interactive voting, this subject requires more depth than we will have time to host live. Your contribution now will really help us tailor the advice and responses to better fit practice. Survey closes end of May 2025. Winners to be announced June 2025. PLEASE DO complete the short survey and you will be in with a chance to win a £25 Amazon Voucher as a heartfelt thank you!
The Bandaging Angels were honoured to have been invited to collaborate and deliver a practical CPD day with Duggan Vet Group in Ireland! Bandaging Angels Georgie Hollis and Katarina Strpkova delivered a fun, and engaging 'Bandaging Bootcamp' with the support of the Duggan's team to Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) from all over Ireland. It was great fun to see so many RVNs engaging enthusiastically while enhancing their skills and confidence in bandaging techniques!
The Bandaging Angels are delighted to announce the continuation of their lecturing program for a second consecutive year. This initiative adopts a science-focused approach and is also tailored to each college syllabus to support veterinary nursing students across the country.
Our dedicated Bandaging Angels deliver a comprehensive training experience that spans an entire day, incorporating both theory and practical workshops, aimed at actively engaging students. This program is designed to equip them not only for their Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) but also to prepare them for successful careers as Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) in practice. The Bandaging Angels are dedicated to delivering science-driven continuing professional development (CPD) that encompasses the entire clinical veterinary team. This commitment stems from our enthusiasm for fostering a collaborative learning environment, where team members can collectively enhance their knowledge. Our CPD initiatives not only serve as a valuable opportunity for group learning but also promote teamwork among colleagues, all aimed at advancing protocols and processes that are 'better, safer, and kinder' for the animals in our care.
