AVSPNI - Ireland event 11th September 2025

Georgie Hollis, Bandaging Angels founder will be presenting at VSSCo Lisburn, on Thursday 11th September  @  Starting at 7.15pm the evening will include a fork supper. 

Session will include:

• Wound physiology as a guide to normal timelines for healing
• Wound types (aetiologies) and their relative risk factors for healing delay.
• 3 steps to optimal healing using Prepare, Promote, Protect – to include:
  • Skin preparation and wound lavage
  • Wound debridement and decontamination
  • Care of the granulating wound bed
  • Bandaging pitfalls that can compromise healing
  • The role of the ‘wound nurse’
  • The role of wound dressings and therapies in wound care – are they all necessary?

This event is FREE to nurses from AVSPNI member practices and to vets who are named AVSPNI members.
